Marilyn Martin’s essays have appeared in Gulf Coast, Chautauqua, New Madrid, Southern Indiana Review, and elsewhere. She is also the author of Helping Children with Nonverbal Learning Disabilities to Flourish, a book that combines memoir with an academic study.

She holds degrees from the University of Chicago (BA English literature), Bennington College (MFA), and has been awarded a fellowship from the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.

Born in Montreal, Canada, brought up in New York, she now lives in northern New Jersey after decades of residing in the Chicago area.
